Dependability has always been at the forefront of Nissan's pickup truck line-up. We've always been firm supporters of this fact. And now we have the proof on our side to back up the statement! As it just so happens, the 2012 Nissan Frontier recently topped the charts in J.D. Power and Associates annual study of vehicle dependability, beating out both the Ford Ranger and the Honda Ridgeline.
And as if that isn't enough, the Frontier has also received a myriad of accolades from a few resources you might recognize, including:
- Kelley Blue Book (KKB)
- Truck Rodeo of Texas
- Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS)
One might wonder, then: How does J.D. Power rate new model dependability? That is a great question! They look at the vehicle history, of course. Specifically, they had 31,000 original owners of 2009 model-year vehicles provide data on the number of problems they had with their vehicles over approximately 5 years. The formula J.D. Power then used to rank these vehicles was problems per every 100 vehicles.
While everyone has something different to say about the 2012 Nissan Frontier, it's all good. To see just how well it lives up to its acclaim, visit Weston Nissan at 3650 Weston Road in Davie, FL 33331 during our regular business hours and take a test drive.
